Happy 10 months!

Another quick month has passed and Kelsey is now 10months old!!! I hope to get her weighed and check her length here in the next few days...The biggest news of the month is that she has started walking(sadly) assisted...She started pushing the lego tupperware around the house this morning actually!! Its so exciting but so sad to me at the same time...My little baby girl is growing so quickly!

Here are some pictures and a video:)

Landscaping

We've finally begun to work on our landscaping around the house...We've had some bushes and shrubs and even a few tulips for a few years now...but we just finally agreed upon a plan and what we want to do!

Menards had rose bushes on sale so I bought 2-orange and red. Zach loved helping me dig and playing in the dirt.

We bought some black fabric stuff to put down and kill all the weeds and then will hopefully soon have lots of stones to put down over top. Eric does not want anything to do with mulch-so the stone will make him very happy! We are excited about how nice its all going to look once we are done!

Next on our list for when we return from CO is to get the swingset up! We've had it in pieces sitting in the van...Just too many other things going on...Zach has been asking almost daily when will his swingset be ready?!

And here are some pictures of the rose bushes, fabric and Zach helping daddy with the edging...

kiddo's

Here are some recent pictures of the kids...

They love watching the squirrels and birds...and just generally getting my glass doors dirty:)
In this picture Zach was pretending this was his pirate boat....He and Kelsey were the pirates..and they were running away from the crocodiles:)

Zach said he was going upstairs to play....This is what Eric found when he went up there! He is OBSESSED with anything fishing lately!Easter morning

The Easter Bunny brought a fishing pole to Grammy and Grampy's house...Here he is trying it out!relaxing in his room:)

9 months old

I can't believe its been 9 months already since Kelsey has joined our family! Its gone so quickly!

At her Dr's appt Kelsey weighed 16lbs 10 oz and was 26.25in long. She's a bit on the small side, but we like her just the way she is:)

She's wearing mostly 6-9month clothes....Some of her 6month clothes are getting too small, but her 9month stuff is just a bit too big yet....It also doesn't help that the weather is always changing....One day she needs long sleeves, the next short sleeves...and even a few weeks ago she had on shorts and a t shirt!

She sleeps through the night but will wake up needing to be settled every once in a while. She goes to bed about 830/9pm and wakes up about the same time in the morning. She takes a nice nap in the afternoon usually 130pm and is down for about 2hrs. Both of my kids are big on sleep!

Kelsey still nurses quite often and it doesn't bother me one bit! I actually enjoy the cuddle time with her:) She is also eating puffs and cheerios...She also is eating most veggies and fruits..I gave her a bit of our roast from dinner the other night and she seemed to like that too! Hopefully she won't be as pick of an eater as her brother!

We are working on her signs...She knows milk and i think also more....She can wave bye bye..and says dadda and momma...She even said nana the other night;)

She truly is a delight and i am so thankful for her everyday!! She has the most pleasant personality and is generally a happy baby. She's really turned into a daddy's girl lately! As soon as she hears Eric putting his keys in the door to come into the house she crawls super fast over to the door...and whines until he picks her up....then she gives him a really nice hug and grin! It just melts my heart!! She also loves when her brother plays nicely with her....She just giggles and giggles at him! They love taking baths together...

Here are some pictures to enjoy!

Dentist

I am such a proud and happy mommy right now that i just had to come here and brag!

Zachary went to the dentist with me this morning. He took some books and a few cars to keep him entertained while i got my teeth cleaned. The hygentist is my age and we actually were in dance class together a long time ago. We both have 2 kids and a lot in common so its always fun for me to go see her and catch up on things:) Zach sat in a chair and watched while i went first. I went into this appt with no expectations as i wasn't sure how he would react to having a stranger messing around with his mouth. He proved me so wrong!

When it was his turn he hopped right up into the chair and was thrilled to see it laid back and then would come back up again too...He opened his mouth right up and let Misti check and count all 20(almost 22)! He didn't like the bright light shining in his eyes so we turned that off...He was doing so good we asked if he wanted to have the funny toothbrush clean his teeth....He chose grape toothpaste and away she went...He thought it was the funniest thing to have water squirted into his mouth and then the sucker suck it out....He wanted to do that over and over again:) When it was all done he picked out a Shrek toothbrush and even picked out a Winnie Pooh brush for Kelsey...He's so sweet!

Dr. Heater said the only thing we need to work on is getting rid of binky...Zach really doesn't have any issues, but he mentioned that the longer we keep it then problems could happen....So we will work on getting rid of binky in the near future as it had been in our plans anyways...

On the way home in the car Zach asked if we were going to the dentist the next day(tomorrow)! haha:) So i had to explain that even though the dentist is fun we only go 2x a year....

I'm so thankful this was a great experience for all of us!!

76 Trombones....

There is always something fun happening at Grammy and Grampy's house....While Amy was home Eric got out his trombone at Zach's prompting...We all laughed so hard! Zach blew till he couldn't blow anymore..He had a red circle all around his lips:) Here is some of the fun!

Amy's Baby Shower

Amy came home for a few days at the end of February and Mary and I threw her a really nice baby shower. We had so much fun with the planning, shopping, cleaning and decorating...oh and baking too! Here are some pics from the shower...

There was lots of yummy food....sandwiches with lunch meats and cheeses...a relish and fruit tray and plenty of yummy desserts!

We played a few games too...This one in particular was melted candy bars in diapers...we passed them around and had to guess which candy bar it was! Too funny:)

Sisters picture:)The part planners and the guest(s) of honor!I made a diaper cake for Amy too! I'd never made one before and was nervous about doing it since we all know how creative/artistic i am....but it was actually really easy to make and was also lots of fun! I was quite proud of myself...Zach even said "good job mommy i so happy for you!"

Kelsey Overload!

Here are a lot of pictures and 2 video's of Miss Kelsey! Hope you are ready:) She is now 7months old and just a joy! She is working on improving her army crawl and is just now starting on baby foods. So far her favorites are sweet potatoes and peaches:) She also enjoyed gumming on an apple core too the other day! We haven't weighed her or measured her yet, but when we do i'll update this post.
Here she's trying to get out of the bumbo
Its so nice when he loves on her:)
First bites!
working on crawling

Zach wanted in on the photo shoot and insisted her hood be up!

Here is a video of Kelsey doing her army crawl

This one is of Kelsey the musician:)

Video's from Imagination Station

This is a short video of the Funny House. You can see how sideways it really is towards the end. Zach thought it was really silly trying to walk around in this house.

This is where Zach and daddy had fun playing in the water...Daddy did the building and Zach had fun filling and dumping and just getting wet.

This is a funny video of Zach and daddy in side the wind station. There was a setting for gale force winds, tropical storm winds and then hurricane winds. It went up to 95MPH!!! Zach thought this was the greatest thing! We couldn't get him to leave!

Imagination Station

On Saturday we went up to Toledo go to visit the Imagination Station(COSI). Zach had a great time and has already asked to go back!

Zach was obsessed with the firetruck! They had a fire hose you could aim and put out the fire on the roof of the building near the firetruck...Zach needed a bit of help, but did pretty good himself. Here they are:

The water area was great! There was a big sailboat filled with water and more sailboats that had air blowing out of it to simulate the air needed to sail. Zach thought this was pretty cool.
This was a table filled with water that flowed downstream. The kids could move pieces of plastic to change the flow of water. There were rubber duckies too that they could play with and get from the top of the table down to the bottom.
This was another water table that daddy and Zach had lots of fun in...You take the plastic tubes and joints and can make all sorts of funny designs and ways for the water to move through. Daddy did most of the building and Zach did most of the filling/dumping of water from cups.

Zach was hilarious inside the little grocery store. He only wanted hot dogs(all of them) and cheese in his cart! We finally convinced him he needed some bread too-which he thought was real! We caught him almost licking it!!!! EW! Eric and I were just cracking up while he was in there:)

There was also a little mock hospital/Dr's office. Zach was interested in what was going on in there, but was a bit overwhelmed as there were lots of bossy girls inside;) There was an ambulance the kids could drive, crutches to try out and could even learn how to read XRay's! There also was a tree house the kids could climb up into and then slide down out of. Lots of bins filled with different types/kinds of blocks to build.

Downstairs was more geared towards kids older than Zach...but they did have some neat magnets you could stick stuff to. There happened to be a domino building session going on...Zach was much more interested in watching the domino's fall down than he was in watching them being set up:)

I will work on getting some of the video we took up here too!
