I am 38wks now and making some progress. As of my midwife appt i am 2cm's dilated and 80% effaced. She doesn't think i am going to make it much longer.
Good news is that we are basically ready for the little bug to come...Bad news is that there are still quite a few projects that i would like to have done before her arrival!
In other good news our contractor has arrived and has spent all day working on the dormer window upstairs! I feel bad for the guy because its hotter than blazes up there. Right now it feels like 97F outside so i can only imagine what it feels like upstairs. Hopefully he will work quickly and get his work done so we can get onto clean up!! Then the fun will begin-getting the room ready for Zach to move in:)

One month to go!
We are officially down to one month before the little lady bug is due! I had an ultrasound and Dr's appointment last week and everything is looking great! At my last ultrasound i wasn't measuring according to my due date so my Midwife suggested we do a growth scan just to be on the safe side. I wasn't worried as this is the same thing that happened to me with Zach-and look at how he turned out! I am tall and have a long torso-so i guess my kids tend to hide which makes me look smaller than most other pregnant woman. Oh well.
Ultrasound showed She is still a She! She BTW is still nameless! We have a small list and are trying to come up with something. I was hoping to have her named by the time she's born, but now i don't know! Coming up with a name is so much harder for us! Apparently boys names are much easier to come up with:) So as of 35wks she's looking great and weighs in at approx 5lbs 6oz which is in the 48%! Eric and I are happy with that-although that means i have to push out a baby that is definitely going to be bigger than Zach-and that sorta scares me! We also discovered that she has hair!! Not sure how much or what color, but we are very excited about this:)
I'm feeling pretty good! I've officially lost my ankles, have a lot of heartburn, am getting tired easily, have tailbone pain and am generally feeling uncomfortable. I'm still working and plan on working at least until July 1st. I go back to the Dr. around 36.5wks(or next week) and will discuss this further with her then. Work is really not too bad for me. I'm just constantly on my feet and moving around. Its the bending over to pick things up off the floor that really hurt after a while.
I've washed most of her clothes and blankets. We've bought some diapers too. There is just a small list of needs that we have. I was optomistic and thought we could reuse a lot of things from Zach, but i am finding that they either look too boyish, or aren't the right season. So we've had to get a few more things than we anticipated. However, girl clothes are so much more fun to shop for than boy clothes!!
We are waiting on the windows to come in for the dormers upstairs. Once the windows are in we will be calling Randy(contractor) to come and build the dormers and get those all set! Once thats done we need to do just a few things to Zach's big boy room and he can then move in. I'm not sure all this will be done in a month, but we can hope right?!

May Happenings
Zach loves to cuddle in his bed! Seriously!! Sometimes after i wake him up from his nap he requests to stay in his bed. Usually its just a few more minutes, but he has been known to "play" in there for almost a half an hour! Lately he's been doing what he calls Tumble Downs...he stands at one end of the crib and falls backwards towards the other end. He thinks its the best thing in the world! Eric and I just laugh:)

Zach had a playdate at Riverbend with Owen Middleton. The boys played and played for hours. Then they shared a snack and a hug! Beth and I had fun catching up too.

Zach also had his first swim lessons and LOVED them! In just the few short months of lessons he has become so much more comfortable in the water. He can now swim by himself as long as he has a good floaty on! Eric and I are so proud of him!!!

Uncle Steve and Aunt Lloyd came for a visit. Here is a family shot! We had a great time catching up with them. The food was really good too! Grampy bought some special cookies that Zach couldn't get enough of.

He loves it when I do laundry! This time he put all his special "babies" and blankies in the basket and then layed on top of them-saying "yook mommy yook!" Usually he uses the basket to haul around all his tractors and cars. He's not so good at folding clothes yet, but i have him help me out by pushing the full basket from one end of the house to the other end:)

Easter
Zach had a great Easter. This was his first year actually coloring eggs. We colored so many eggs that Eric and I got sick of eating them-thank goodness for egg salad sandwiches:) He first colored eggs with his playgroup friends and then daddy helped him color some for the Easter Bunny. Before he woke up Eric and I hid some eggs around the house and Zach had so much fun finding them! We then went to church and out to a brunch afterward with Nana, Papa, Great Grandma June, Great Grandpa Bob, Tim, Anna, Sam, Elise and Aunt Rachel. We all ate lots of food and left stuffed! Catch up
Wow! i can't believe its June already and we haven't updated since February! whoops!! I'll try to give you a brief synopsis of whats been happening in our lives since we last updated.
March-
In March I switched around my work schedule and we pulled Zach out of daycare. I was sad to make this decision, but it was one that needed to be made sooner or later. We loved the Y and Zach did absolutely great there. He loved his teachers and had made lots of friends. We never had any issues either. Zach loved it so much he would get mad at me for showing up to pick him up! "no home mommy" he would say all the way to the car! Eric and i just got to thinking about it and realized that as much as we liked the Y we were not going to be able to afford to send 2 kids to daycare. So I switched from working in the morning to working a few evenings a week and kept my weekend rotation. So far its been working out just great!
We had a family birthday party on the Ferguson side too. We laughed lots and ate way too much food! Here are some pictures from the birthday party. We were celebrating birthdays in January, February and March. Zach was thrilled to be able to blow out the candles. Aunt Karen made the "family" cupcakes.
We also ordered and put up new wood blinds in our living room. Zach helped daddy as best he could with the installation. Eric and I are thrilled with how great the blinds look! Plus we are loving the added security they give us at night. Before we just had a sheer curtain across the windows. Here are a few pictures of the blinds.
