5 months old!

Another month has passed and Kelsey is now 5 months old!! Time is passing way too quickly:( Kelsey now weighs(thanks to Grammy) 14lbs 3oz and is 24.5in long....Not sure exactly where that puts her as she didn't see the Dr this month..but we'll find out next month when we go back. She is basically in 6month sized clothes and has a few 3-6m clothes she still wears.

She said "Da da" for the first time on Friday and hasn't stopped since. She just babbles all day long! She still sleeps great and eats great too! Overall she's a great baby and we really have no room for complaint:)

4months a little late

A few weeks ago Miss Kelsey turned 4 months old! Hard to believe that its been 4 months already...makes me sad when i think about...the time just flies by so quickly...She had a great Dr's appt. Kelsey now weighs 13lbs 3oz and is 24.75in long. She's doing great! She sleeps all through the night. We are working on trying to get her to go to bed a little earlier, but she is protesting. She's a great nurser. I had a bout of Mastitis a few weeks ago and upped her feedings to about every hour and a half to 2hours....and i am still working on stretching her back out to every 3ish hours..She is rolling all around too! She loves to play with her toys...especially if you dangle something in front of her, she reaches out to grab at it....She's also going through the phase where she sounds like a cat....She just talks and talks...and is such a flirt!! She will smile hugely at anyone who will talk nicely to her! She just melts hearts wherever she goes:) Kelsey also finds her brother highly amusing! So far he's the one who can make her laugh the most! Its the best sound in the world!!!

Happy Halloween!

We had a great Halloween. Zachary wanted to be a witch and Kelsey was a Ladybug. Grammy Ferguson helped us out by making Zach's cape and finding some accessories to go with it! Zach was so happy with the result-he loved it!! We went to the parade on Tuesday night and had lots of fun. There were quite a few bands, lots of trucks for Zach to enjoy and some neat floats too. Zach was excited to get some candy:) Thursday night was Trick or Treat night here. Zach was excited to go out...Our neighbors stopped by our house and Zach was thrilled to see them come to the door. They were unfortunately our only TT's though:( Not sure if its because we still don't have street lights or what?! Our cul-de-sac is almost fully built and so many of the houses are occupied this year. Guess they all go somewhere else? Zach went around our street and then a few more streets in the neighborhood. Eric took him while i waited for the non existant TT's. Eric said he did great and was very good with his "Thank you's" Can't wait for next year when Kesley can participate too!! Kelsey is 2months now

Hard to believe my little bug is already 2 months old!! We had her Dr's appt last week and she weighs 11lbs 3oz and is 22in long...Right about 50% for both i believe. She also got her shots but did really well with them:) 2nd time around was a bit easier for me too!

Kelsey is such a great baby!! I tell everyone she is just the best 2nd baby:) She sleeps about 9ish hours at night. She basically came home sleeping through the night from the hospital!! Amazing to me since her brother is still having some sleep issues. Kelsey wakes up occasionally and once she's happy she's back out again. She nurses about every 3 hours or so. She also will take a bottle just fine! Eric, Zach and I went to the fair the other weekend and left Kelsey with Grammy for about 4hours and they both had a great time!! Kelsey took about all of her 4oz bottle with no problems! This makes me feel so much better as i will be returning to work here in a few short weeks.

Speaking of work, I turned in my schedule and will be back on the schedule the first full week of October. I have really enjoyed being home with both my kids. I am ready in some ways to go back. It will be nice to get out of the house and have some "me" time and also some adult interaction, but i know i will miss the kids like crazy!

The kids and i have been getting out of house every morning that we can for a nice walk and then we stop at the park and play. Zach has LOTS of energy and he needs to run and run! All of us then in the evenings usually go for another walk to a different park to play, or we play in the dirt around our house. There is plenty of it as we have a house being built right next to us and across the street! We are excited for new neighbors!

Zach's big boy room is almost finished!! I need to get up there and get some pictures taken. He has just started a Mom's Day Out program through a local church here in Findlay and he loves it! He goes every Thursday from 930am-2pm. They do crafts, sing songs, play outside and eat lunch. I did this in order for him to get some more social interaction, creative play and to make some new friends! He loves it and has a great time:) So many of the kids in his room(2yrolds) cried when their moms left-and if you could have seen the sad look on his face at all the kids crying! I almost cried myself!! But he did just fine and didn't cry a tear:) It was great to listen to his stories on the way home and during dinner with Eric. I love it because now i have a day i can schedule most of my appointments around, get errands done and do some work around the house..or just spoil Kelsey all day:)

Eric's been starting to slow down at work...He's starting to get caught up on things he's wanted to do for years now. Bosserman just got a few new orders and one of them is for Nascar's Mark Martin!!! Eric is pretty pumped about that and is hoping that Mark comes in and checks out his truck personally.. He's also made it to a few autocrosses this summer and hopes to make it to a few more yet before the season runs out.

She's here!!

Miss Kelsey Reese Ferguson joined our family on July 10th 2009 at 1:01pm. She weighed 7lbs 8oz and was 19.5in long. We were beginning to wonder when she was going to make her appearance as she was actually 2 days late! I was really hoping to go into labor on my due date so her birthday would have been 7-8-09, but in reality from the beginning i had said that going into labor on a Friday would be best because then Eric could be with us all weekend and not have to take as much time off work. Guess she really did hear me:)

I woke up early Friday morning needing to use the restroom like always sometime around 4am....Noticed that my lower back was just killing me! I had a hard time walking to the bathroom and thought to myself that this was odd! I was able to fall back asleep but around 530am I was woken up by a ctx...continued to doze in between them until Eric's alarm went off at 630am for work. By this time they were about every 10-12minutes or so. So we got some stuff around..I continued to lay in bed and then get up and walk around. I was able to handle the ctx's so much better by walking around and standing up! They hurt so much more when i would try and sit down. By about 8am I noticed that the ctx's were getting pretty painful and i was having to use some lamaze type breathing to get through them. I was using that contraction master website to keep track of things as i wasn't going to attempt to keep track of them on my own or have Eric do it....I think it was around 930am that i decided maybe Zach needed to go to his grandparents(Ferguson's) and i should put a call into my Dr's office. Dr's office said to just to ahead and go on over to the hosp. By this time my ctx's were basically 4-7minutes apart. We got to the hospital a little before 11am. Got checked in and the nurse said-before i finish the paper work i am just gonna go ahead and check you....Yeah i was freaking 8cms already!!!!! She was so shocked-and i was so proud!!! That was exactly what i wanted to happen!! My midwife Deb came in and said she was going to go eat her lunch, but would be back up to see how i was doing after she was finished. A little while later i felt pressure in my butt and sure enough i was complete and ready to go!! Since i timed my being ready to push just right both of the midwives i had seen(Deb who was on call and Bonnie who was just on her lunch) were able to give me support and help me out! I was so happy to have both of them there. Eric and I both commented on how different my labor seemed because we were both awake and not super tired. Zach was born at 1:14 am-we were both exhausted by the time he was born. Pushing Kelsey out was so much harder than Zach, but i know it was due to her being so much longer and heavier than her brother was. But i sweated through and did it like a champ! haha...I'm pretty sure it took about 4ctx or about 10 minutes of pushing and out she came! I did it with no drugs at all again-so proud of myself!! (sorry to brag!) Miss Kelsey has been great ever since...
